Re: Hybrid Grandland
apparently the "drive 100-200km with the ICE" does help for one particular case: when there's petrol in the engine oil. This can also cause ICE to start, not allowing EV mode. So it's either this (fuel in oil) or low 12V battery (front and/or back) voltage.

Re: Wireless CarPlay converter (CPLAY2air)
Carlinkit 2.0 also good, advantages over Cplay2air: - uses 5GHz wifi chip - has powered radio antenna - uses usb-c - detachable cable All boxes are pretty much the same, apparently same iphone 6 (?) chip inside, same software/fw base. All exploit the same man-in-the-middle principle to deliver wirel...

2. Default source of 12V main (front) & aux (trunk) batteries charging is the main traction high-voltage battery. They can additionally be charged via classic alternator if the ICE is running. Many users have EV mode issues because either one or both 12V batteries are below nominal voltage for w...

Re: How to drive in pure electric mode?
Did you manage to resolve this? I’ve had the car start in electric mode every time until today - I was driving normally then parked up, since then it’s now always hybrid. It’s always plugged in to charge and battery is reading good voltage so nothing to do with that. Weather is 7 degrees but it’s b...

Re: Hybrid electric battery range
I couldn't agree more, that why I don't have the phev. If I were doing 20 mile, short runs, then able to charge, it would be the best option but I don't. I have done the maths but I don't think many do. I also don't think the manufacturers paint the true picture for anyone doing business miles. The...

Re: Hybrid electric battery range
Hi Zice, Great to hear you have completed 7700 km (4800 miles) on only two and half tanks of petrol. Reading some of the posts here, I'm sure many hybrid drivers would be interested in some pointers. What sort of journeys are you doing and do you get to charge regularly. I have seen some calculator...

Re: Hybrid electric battery range
well, my view is that i'm still halfway thru my 3rd petrol tank after 7700km and i don't think it's (any) government's fault that business users aren't capable of a simple calculation based on their driving profile before buying or leasing a car. They all jump up 10 stories high for tax incentives o...
