Re: engine fault light and car not always starting

Are you saying that it was a permanent fault that cleared with a fully charged battery? Try giving the battery a good charge (ideally with an intelligent charger such as an Optimate or CTEK) and see if it repeats the cure. If it does it may be the alternator, or as suggested an ECU controlling the b...

Re: Loss of turbo

As above really, if it's under warranty get the car to a main dealer who should read the stored fault codes and fix it. If it's out of warranty and you have AA/RAC or similar with home start and the vehicle has "broken down" call them out. They should read the codes for you and come up wit...

Re: Diamond Black 2019 1.2 Elite Garden Ornament

Black does look great when freshly washed and polished. A real PIA to keep on top of though, shows every swirl (from experience with a black Discovery 3).

Re: Paint Code

Fingers crossed. Failing that, there is a trade paint shop nearby that apparently can mix me some up from the chassis number, so all is not lost.

Re: Paint Code

Yep, all pretty confusing. I got in touch with the parts dept at the Local Vauxhall stealers and dark ruby red metallic is Peugeot bright red, go figure. The dark metallic ruby red code is GDU, which is now the Peugeot code ELM. I have ordered a 2 pack touch up from the above for £10.14, so will hav...

Re: Paint Code

Bit of a thread resurrection here; the wife's Grandland X metallic ruby red (I think) took a hit to the front of the bonnet, more like a nut/bolt than a stone as it's left a scratch down to the metal and a small dimple. Rather than a full bonnet respray, I'm thinking of a quick touch up (my Land Rov...

Excellent result. I don't suppose they told you what the recall was?
