Re: Wet timing belt disintegrated, new engine required outside warranty
Hi vauxhallowner. Really sorry to hear about your Grandland, Realistically I think as the car was serviced by independent garages Vauxhall will probably turn their noses up at you and say you should have had it serviced by a vauxhall main dealer, plus did they use vauxhall recommended parts ? Also a...

Re: Turbo Whistle
Hi groovyblues, I have the 1.2 also, I do find when I put my foot down I get a bit of turbo whistle but not excessive and obviously when I take my foot off it disappears, maybe check the inlets for leaks or if they need tightening, other than that I think a trip to your local vauxhall garage is need...

Re: Struggling for a smooth drive
Hi there,
Just a thought, have you got the lane departure warning activate ?.
I had the same problem until I realised as I drove over the speed bumps the car sensed the central white lines and tried to pull me back over.
It may be worth a look.
Have a great day.

Re: Navi 5 infotainment (Sat Nav bigger screen version) and music playlists
Hi Simon, No you are correct, the infotainment system on a vauxhall is pretty bad, the sound quality is excellent but there are too many sub folders that you have to go through to get where you want. I use a usb to play my music and have the same problem, you do get used to it after a while. Vauxhal...

Re: outside temp
Hi Border. Your infotainment system is out of date, ( You would have thought they would have updated it before handing it over, welcome to Vauxhall !!). If you look at the update threads you will find a topic on how to do it, it's not difficult just time consuming. Hope this helps. Stay safe. Russel...

Re: Stop / Start issues
Hi Robg. I have the granland x in quartz grey on a 19 plate, My stop start seems to only work in certain conditions, ie, when the outside temperature is between 18 and 20C. But I have found that if the headlights are on and the blower is on anything higher than one the stop start doesn't work. Also ...

Re: Map &firmware updates
Hi all, Well I finally found the time to update the infotainment and maps, so far so good, it was as as everyone said quite east to download and install, ( Patience required, I ended up in a Tesco car park ), after it had completed I sat there in anticipation with my party hat and banners balloons e...

Re: Temp display grey text
Hi all, I have just brought a Grandland X in grey quartz, I call it Martha 19, I've had it about 4 weeks now and I have to say I love driving it, I came from the dark side ( ford ) where I drove a focus, ( sorry ). The only thing I can find that I don't like is the grey txt on the radio. I have down...
