Re: Aftermarket Tow Bar
I opted to have one fitted (have always fitted my own before) as vehicle coding is required. A mobile fitter came to my workplace and fitted a Brink fixed swan neck towbar and 13 Pin electrics. It took him twice as long as he expected but made a good job of it. Cost £399 all in. Now I need to see i...

Re: Aftermarket Tow Bar
The Brink Fixed Swan Neck towbar does not interfere with the rear parking sensors. The 'wiggle your foot' closing tailgate also works as well as it did before the towbar was fitted (which is about a 1 in 10 success rate!)

Re: Driver's door alignment
I had this issue on both front doors and the tailgate was also misaligned. Vauxhall had it back for 4 weeks while they fixed it. Apparently the boss of Vauxhall UK got involved and it turns out to be quite a widespread issue. Everything lines up fine now. Just bad quality control by manufacturer and...

Re: Android Auto not reading messages
Switched from Apple Car Play which worked fine to Android Auto. It detects when a text comes in an gives you the option to play it but no sound is heard

Re: AddBlue counter won't reset
Thanks for the replies. If as you say this is normal then it is yet another example of very poor design on this car, and if it is normal I wonder why Vauxhall technical appear to have no idea that it is normal? They have asked for my car back for another day to do 'more investigation'!

AddBlue counter won't reset
Here we go again - yet another problem with the 3 month old diesel Grandland X. I've only driven it for 2 months as Vauxhall had it back for a month to finish building it! (doors and tailgate out of alignment, glass falling out etc). So after hitting about 3000 miles on the clock the service light c...

Automatic Car Washes
So I took my Grandland X to the local automatic car wash today. It's the conveyor belt type that drags your car through. Now I've owned two Vauxhall Insignias that both had electronic handbrakes and never had an issue when using this car wash. Not so with the Grandland X. So the attendant gives the ...

Re: foot rest
Hi I'll try and post some photos once I've 'made good' the area of carpet where the footrest used to be. It's been pouring with rain ever since I took it out. But let me just say what a difference it has made by not having the footrest in the way. my foot now just falls into it's natural clutch posi...
