Re: Exit interview
To be honest, I don't know if the Rav4 HEV has a belt or chain. A quick google search wasn't conclusive. All the 'due diligence' I did before ordering the Rav4 did not raise any concerns over reliability. When I ordered the Grandland in October 2018 the PSA PureTech engine timing belt issues were su...

Exit interview
After 3 & a bit years & 24,300 miles I have traded in my Grandland X. It has exceeded my expectations for reliability, performance, economy & comfort - a joy to drive! The only reason for not buying another is the long term reliability concern of the wet timing belt. Thank you to the for...

Re: Michelin primacy 3 tyres knackered
My OEM Michelin Crossclimate tyres have some crazing around the edge of side wall & tread pattern. At nearly 3.5 years & 24,000 miles now, with enough of tread left for 30,000 (but I'm trading in next week). I believe traffic calming speed bumps are partly the cause of the problems with unus...

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here!
I'm averaging 41mpg over 23.5k miles, that's with the auto gearbox. The sport or similar trim level only uses leather on the steering wheel, as seat trims are only leather-effect. MY19 elite & ultimate trim level have leather seats.

Re: UNSTABLE RIDE ON ROUGH SURFACES
Ok tyre pressures & tyres are good, so not sure what to suggest. I find the lane keep assist unsettling on B roads, so your issue could be a combination of lane keep 'assist' & poor road surfaces upsetting the car.

Re: UNSTABLE RIDE ON ROUGH SURFACES
I find the ride quality is generally good, however it is upset by larger bumps or pot holes which can be disconcerting especially in high speed corners.

Re: Service price
The Vauxhall website suggest the 4th service should cost £369 for a diesel.
Service Intervals (Annual servicing):
Year 1 – Interim
Year 2 – Main
Year 3 - Interim
Year 4 - Major
Repeat cycle
Not sure what the major service includes over & above the (2nd year) main service.

Not sure if this would help us check timing belt condition.

I've just had my 3rd annual service & MOT at 22,000 miles, however have a new car on order with delivery likely in 6 months.

Re: Have I been sold a lemon?
Only you can answer your question regarding rejecting the car. Firstly, challenge the dealer to address the issues & test drive other examples. Some of these issues have been raised on this forum before, so can be researched individually. For example brakes making noises when reversing & tra...

Re: Would you Buy a Grandland again
My current Grandland X will be 3 years old in a month or so, looked around early November with a view to ordering a new car which would be delivered late spring 2022. This would mean I enjoy an inflated 2nd hand value on existing GLX & beat inevitable rises in new car prices. Have been very happ...
