Re: Dashcams

I fitted a viofo a119 v3 myself. Superb quality and very discreet, sticks to the black dotted area at the top of the windscreen near the inside mirror. I placed it on the passenger side as close to the top and mirror as possible. You would hardly notice it from outside so I leave it in, although it ...

Re: Center Speaker Plug

Before going ahead with this I would get a small spare speaker of any type with a couple of wires attached and just prod the wires onto the connector with the radio on, just to see if any signal is actually coming out.

Re: Center Speaker Plug

if you have any old speaker lying around you could just try some wires to it from the connector. You could also put a multimeter on it in AC mV range and see if it measures something.

Re: Lights interior & exterior

I fitted some LED lighting strips under the front seats, one under the back of each seat shining down and another nearer the front of the seats shining forward. Looks really smart and best is you can change the brightness and colour from an app on the phone. It connects via Bluetooth and powered by ...

Re: Car alarm

Afraid not, it's actually a sun sensor on the dash for the climate system. The central door lock button LED flashes on the dash but not sure that's for the alarm Apparently there is a flashing LED on the top of the dashboard for the Ultimate version, I do miss it as a reassurance but I usually check...

Re: Digital speedometer

My printed manual though has a bit more information at the end which isn't in the pdf version, I think it's around the engine specs, replacing bulbs etc.

Re: Clutch pedal starting ?

Mine has keyless entry and ignition and yes I have to press the clutch when I start the engine. It prevents you from accidentally starting in gear and probably puts less strain on the starter motor. A message comes up in the driver information display reminding you.

Re: What MPG are you getting

Just finished seeing how much range I could stretch from a full tank of petrol in the Grandland X 1.2 turbo sport. Basically 2 weeks of commuting mostly motorway during peak hours combined with around 20 minutes of cross country each way. Using Texaco regular petrol I managed an impressive 586 miles...

Re: What MPG are you getting

It is so dependant on driving style, conditions etc. I drive like a saint, virtually all motorway driving and average 55-60 mph speed as I find it more relaxing. I have the 1.2 petrol and although I keep auto stop disabled most of the time, I sometime enable it when I know there's the chance of long...
