Yes it is the local Evans Halshaw dealership. They say the cost is £2800 but Vauxhall will give a 40% contribution reducing it to £1800. They say it is safe to drive but it isn’t in my opinion. Have you tried contacting your Vauxhall local dealership? or are they the ones who told you it needs a steering rack?
If they are have they said why it needs a new one?
Have you tried contacting Vauxhall customer services?

Are you sure its supposed to have one?
In the photo it looks like another rubber stopper. Have you taken that out to see if there is a part number?
Does the other side have one if so try taking that one out and see if there is a part number on it.

It should have one there but due to parts shortages when some cars were made Vauxhall removed these parts.

It shouldnt be using that much coolant.
I havent heard of this issue with the Grandland.
How much did you top it up with? It could be it was very low and needed more.
I know some early cars had a recall on the Coolant caps due to issues.
