Paint and lacquer manufacturers warranty?

Hi everyone I have a mid 2018 Grandland X sport in dark metallic grey (moonstone?). I bought it from a Vauxhall dealer in 2019 (one previous owner) and all has been well. Giving it a clean today and I have noticed what appears to be lacquer bubbling on the driver's door. It's only noticeable if you ...

Re: The ecochip device, scam or saviour?

Big Clive on Youtube has done a few teardowns of these. The more "sophisticated" scam ones even have a micro controller to flash some LEDs and give the appearance it's actually doing something to the CAN data from the vehicle! You won't do much useful stuff via the OBD socket on a modern V...

Re: Have I been sold a lemon?

Chris, interested what you say about the driver’s seat being uncomfortable. I also bought a mid year 2018 Grandland sport and I find if I push my butt into the back of the seat, it feels like I’m sitting on a solid metal bar or something. I don’t notice it if I sit in the passenger seat. Like you I ...

Re: High Beam Assist Issues

Essentially there are a number of factors that will affect whether it works. First off you usually have to drive a certain distance and above a certain speed before it will operate (that I think is documented). Next it uses the camera that reads road signs as far as I know to analyse the road ahead....

How does the cabin noise of the Grandland X compare to other SUVS?

Having now owned a Grandland Sport 1.2 puretech (mid 2018) for a few years, I am wondering if the cabin noise on a motorway run at 60mph is expected or noisier than other SUVs. I haven’t owned any other SUV, but this GX does ‘seem’ to be a bit noisier in the cabin that say my previous Astra GTC 1.4 ...

I think it's underneath the driver's door mirror.

Re: Average MPG

Rotate the outer grip of the left indicator stack near the end (there's a rotary grip switch to change the driver's cockpit central display. As well as instantaneous consumption and range, there's a screen for overall trip average consumption and distance, along with screens for digital speed displa...

Re: infortainment system

Oh and make sure the engine is running whilst you do any updates! Otherwise the infotainment system will shut off during the update, which could cause no end of problems. The firmware update takes quite a long time, I think almost an hour. I also updated the maps and that took a similar time! Once y...

Re: infortainment system

Hi Matt. If it helps, I have a June 2018 Grandland X sport and until recently I was unable to use the Vauxhall mobile app (to check fuel consumption etc). However after installing the latest update myself from a USB stick (available below), the app suddenly started to work and the infotainment syste...

Re: Struggling for a smooth drive

Took me months to drive the manual smoothly. I put it down to the feel of the clutch pedal which has an unusually high bite point. I find I have to put the seat back further than I'm used to, so to get a smooth take off. Gearbox though is lovely, but I think my next GX will be an auto! If yours is t...
