Re: Car alarm

Afraid not, it's actually a sun sensor on the dash for the climate system. The central door lock button LED flashes on the dash but not sure that's for the alarm Apparently there is a flashing LED on the top of the dashboard for the Ultimate version, I do miss it as a reassurance but I usually check...

Re: Digital speedometer

My printed manual though has a bit more information at the end which isn't in the pdf version, I think it's around the engine specs, replacing bulbs etc.

Re: Clutch pedal starting ?

Mine has keyless entry and ignition and yes I have to press the clutch when I start the engine. It prevents you from accidentally starting in gear and probably puts less strain on the starter motor. A message comes up in the driver information display reminding you.

Re: What MPG are you getting

Just finished seeing how much range I could stretch from a full tank of petrol in the Grandland X 1.2 turbo sport. Basically 2 weeks of commuting mostly motorway during peak hours combined with around 20 minutes of cross country each way. Using Texaco regular petrol I managed an impressive 586 miles...

Re: What MPG are you getting

It is so dependant on driving style, conditions etc. I drive like a saint, virtually all motorway driving and average 55-60 mph speed as I find it more relaxing. I have the 1.2 petrol and although I keep auto stop disabled most of the time, I sometime enable it when I know there's the chance of long...

Wireless CarPlay converter (CPLAY2air)

I have just read a review about this new product which basically allows you to use CarPlay without the cable! It looks too good to be true, but the more I read the more it sounds fantastic. Essentially it's a little box that plugs into the USB front port of your vehicle, so in the case of the Grandl...

Re: Grandland X winter tyres

If you want change from 18 inch tyres to 17 inch you would probably need to change your wheel size as well, i.e. a set of new wheels! Check if you have 17 or 18 inch wheels, if it is an SE then most likely 17 inch and if it's an Elite or Ultimate, most likely 19 inch otherwise they will be 18s. The ...

Re: Parking Sensors

Never had any issues with mine, neither in rain or cold weather. I suggest returning to the dealer and asking them to check/calibrate the sensors. I think the official towbar will automatically disable the rear sensors when used (the toward is used that is). Have you tried disabling them and renabli...

Re: What don't you like about your Grandland

Overall I am extremely pleased with the Grandland. At first I did find the clutch pedal hard to operate smoothly and the foot rest or footwell panels sometimes obstructing, but I've readjusted my seat and now I have no problems with either. The infotainment screen (8 inch) seems to have been designe...
