Re: Vauxhall app.

My app has just crashed today and I’ve had to log back into it, now I can’t add my car into the app now as it says the vin is not recognised. I’ve tried both adding vin manually and by the photo method and neither works. Has anybody had this fault and fixed it??

1.5td grandland x timing chain check and renewal

I’m after some information on this problem I have just found out about my car and other 1.5td 16v grandlands. Apparently the engine has a rubber timing belt, but it also has a camshaft chain which by all accounts has a common problem of stretching and snapping. Has anybody came across this fault, or...

Re: Wheel nut covers for the locking nut.

I bought mine when it was 2 years old from the dealers and they were already fitted.
I’ve checked with Vauxhall about accessories or extras being bought from them in the cars service pack or via invoices and they can’t say for certain if they came as standard or were bought by the previous owner.

Re: Wireless charger.

Usually the dealers will charge you for the update, that’s why I try and buy the diagnostic equipment myself so I can use it as and when I want to. The problem I have with the grandland is that there is 2 different systems which are used. I believe Peugeot has one and Vauxhall have there own system,...

Re: Wheel nut covers for the locking nut.

I’ve got covers on all of my wheel nuts including locking nut. They were on when I bought it back in 2020. They are all the same design and size as each other which makes the locking nut cover stick out a little bit more than the rest. If you didn’t look for it you wouldn’t know
Hope this helps

Radio reception or lack of

I have the Intellilink 5 radio in my 2018 grandland x sport nav and have had constant problems with the radio reception or lack or reception as the case is. I took it to Vauxhall and they just turned the auto search off and said it was fixed. The DAB is crap too, as far as I knew DAB was the dogs bo...

Re: Wireless charger.

It may sound daft but have you asked the dealers about a software/firmware update for your car? The module that controls the charger may just need a newer update to allow it to work correctly. I only say this as when I had my tech2 system I had performed this on quite a few vectra c’s for the Blueto...

Re: Keyless fobs.

I’ve had my car almost 3 years now and I only ever use the same key. I just checked the spare and it works just as good as the key I always use.
I’ve never heard of the remote needing to be used regularly just to keep its code.
Hope this helps

Re: Coolant type for 2018 1.5 td

I never bothered looking any further into this to be honest. The colour is still the same and it isn’t losing any of the fluid.
Just to drain and refill the system you need a special kit that allows you to refill the system without any airlock problems.

Re: Pros & Cons of Using A Reconditioned Dual Mass Flywheel

I wouldn’t bother fitting a reconditioned dual mass flywheel. I had a vectra c 1.9 CD-R I which I split the gearbox right around its circumference which needed replacing. My car had 18000 miles on the clock and as I had to buy a new clutch kit I bought a full refurbished kit online for about £400. W...
