Re: Battery refurb

@Moss5 I saw the battery regulator under the boot liner but thought it was not a separate battery, I'll have to investigate more. Anyway I decided not to try a battery reconditioning because it seems to have solved it's problem itself. I spent a lot of time getting it up to date with the latest satn...

It definitely looks 100% better now.
Looks much better.
Agreed, this is a top mod. Thanks for sharing. Shame it costs so much, I guess you have to replace the entire light cluster so maybe you could resell it and make back a bit?

Re: Grandland x 1.5 d remap

I've always used Celtic with previous cars, recommended, they do a great job. They only tune the Diesel Grandland, I wouldn't trust anyone else personally or go with any other 'box' you really don't know what you're getting. The increase they offer is not a lot but you'll definitely notice another 2...

Re: Is this usual?

It is entirely normal. There is not a lot you can do about physics. If you come back from a drive on a cold day, the air inside your car will be loaded with moisture (because its warm) and when it cools, all the water will condense out, because cold air can't contain as much water as warm air (that'...

Re: Battery refurb

@Moss5 thanks a lot that's massively helpful...the key then if you want to remove the red tab is to make sure you wire up a secondary battery to keep that positive terminal at 12V, before you pull it up! So where you put your crocodile clips I'd wire in a secondary battery. I'm confused about the ta...

Battery refurb

Hi all, This may seem crazy but I just bought a Hybrid4 after reading about all the issues on this forum. When I test drove the car, it came up in eco mode and refused to run on electric power only. These are the classic signs of a knackered battery. So, I'm about to begin the round of dealers, writ...

Re: Recent Vauxhall Update failure

Hello Xubuntu.. I found the download from Vauxhall was failing so I figured out the map updates were available from here: http://download.tomtom.com/OEM/PSA/MAP/PSA_map-eur_11.1.0-r0-NAC_EUR_WAVE4.tar Which is good, because it means then I can put that file where Vauxhall update would expect to see ...

Re: Hybrid ambient conditions

I've just bought a Grandland Hybrid4, and both of the cars they had at the dealer in Burton were showing the same refusal to go into electric mode. This doesn't bother me too much because all that seems to happen is that you select Hybrid mode and it just runs from the electric battery (most of the ...

Re: Black bonnet - good or bad???

Yep, I think I like it, bit of throwback and makes the car more interesting. Just got a quote to wrap mine.. then if I don't like it easy to reverse... and of course it will keep the bugs off.

Black bonnet - good or bad???

Quick question, this is a pretty rare option on the Grandland, maybe on the last round of Hybrid4 models only?
What do people think about the look? I kind of like it, as it's distictive - no other SUVs have a black bonnet!
