Re: Just Ordered a New Grandland
Hi DaPa, absolutely look forward to getting the new Grandland. Had the privilege of looking over the new model at my local main dealer showroom in Bournemouth. In my opinion it’s certainly had a makeover, the exterior looks good with the interior much the same as my 2019 Grandland X Elite 1.2 petrol...

Re: Wet timing belt disintegrated, new engine required outside warranty
Hi Grandlanders, I have a 2019 Grandland X 1.2T 130ps Elite N Auto - Quartz Grey. Further to the information regarding cam belts and in particular the oil, my vehicle had a service recently and I asked the main dealer (Edens Bournemouth) what type of engine oil is used and they stated it can be eith...

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here!
Hi Marasac, Cargo42 here, welcome to the forum. As already mentioned, you’ll find most if not all the information regarding the GLX. I have had my Jan/2019 1.2 Elite Auto in Grey for just over a year and enjoying the experience. Had one or two niggles but nothing serious. Have travelled in U.K. and ...

Re: Average MPG
Hi. Matt, from my experience having recently been driving in France I changed the speedo from miles per hour to kilometres per hour. I’m sure through the same setting one can change from kilometres per 100k to miles per gallon. The setting is via the menu on the centre screen. All the best.

Re: Battery warning light
Hi GrandlandX68, many thanks for your comments. As you suggested, I will be keeping a watchful eye on the warning lights. Also the local garage was able, at short notice, to check the battery etc. The alternator is kicking out almost 15v and the battery is holding somewhere in the region 12+v so all...

Battery warning light
Good morning to all. I have a Grandland X Jan 19 plate Auto 1.2 which I am enjoying. Problem cropped up yesterday. A red battery warning light came on together with a red stop sign also came up. Stopped the car and waited for a while and restarted and all appears fine. I will get a diagnostic check ...

Re: Trouble shifting gears
Hi Vainona70, thanks for your response and comments. As you say and I agree it’s probably because the engine was cold and maybe due to not being used on a frequent basis. Anyway, it appears okay at the moment but will get it checked out at the next service as a precaution. Thanks again for your comm...

Trouble shifting gears
Hi Grandlanders, have an issue when cold starting and putting into gear my Jan 69 auto 1.2. I’ll assume the normal procedure is after starting, foot on brake, shift to reverse and switch off electric brake. It may because its cold or has been standing for a few days but I cannot get it into gear as ...
