Finally found the solution. It's a nav setting. Click menu on NAV then settings, click maps and theres an option that says allow sharing tick that box and it'll work if you've already done the other options. Ie tethering etc.

I'm getting the same, no wifi option to click, everything that I think should be turned on is, ie hotspot, tethering etc. But definitely no wifi icon like in the instructions, plus I cant get my driving data to connect to my app either. Not sure if its compatible with my car maybe, but everything on...
