Hi
We had the engine light flash today and the message saying engine fault repair required(or words to that effect) appear on the dash computer display.

We had the breakdown people come take a look and with their diagnostic computer they found the fault code P1338.
Their equipment did not state what the fault was and the mechanic was not sure. They reset the fault and its remained off. I have to take it to Vauxhall garage if it comes on again understandably.

Does any one know what causes this fault? Maybe jad this issue before?

Many thanks

Valer

What caused the alarm is simple--- a misfire detected on cyl 2 lol
as to what caused the misfire, there's no single cause,
it could be a dodgy plug,no 2 coil coil,a wiring or ecm issue, fuel injector and the list goes on.
I'd wait to see if it does it again if it was mine.
