Hi All,

Just picked a Grandland X 2018 Elite Nav, I feel that the door trims cards are squeaky. Does anyone have similar issue?

Are you sure it is the door trims and not the rubber trim around the door that needs cleaning? Or is it the plastic around the grab handle/window switch trim, which on our 2018, SE squeaked and I ended liffting it out and up putting felt tape around it to prevent it. Our 2021 does not squeak so have obviously solved the issue.

Yes, Checked the noise is very evident when openeing and closing the door from inside, If you put any pressure on the door trims near switches, it makes noise. Will check with the service team about the fix

Yes that was the issue I had, there is a fix for it as well, even though under warranty, I fixed it myself I think the fix is felt tape to cushion the window switches.

Is this covered under warranty or something that dealer can fix ? Not sure i can remove the switches easily without breaking some clips. It already feels flimsy.

Probably needs re-seating. My passenger one has squeaked since new in 2018. You could ask the garage/dealership, but it'd be a couple hours labour to take off and put back, but no guarantee it'll fix it. I've just learnt to put up with it.

It is covered under warranty, you can just ease them up with plastic trim removal tool and put some felt tape round.

FInally took it to the Dealer twice, they said they had to replace some felt tapes. But nothing seems to have worked.

Thanks @Cyberbob. So finally purrchased a sticky felt tape from amazon. There is a youtube video showing how to open the door casing fully for a speaker upgrade. But has enough details to open up the window switches. Opened it up and used the tape all around the plastics switches and I can see that there is no more creaking while opening or closing doors. 2 doors complete. 2 more to go.

P.S On opening the window switches, Inside the door cavity i could see thermocole and some sponges!! No sound deadening what so ever.!
