Does anyone have any answers on this issue?
I’ve got a 2018 Vauxhall Grandland X and I’m having the exact same problem.
Firstly started with my mirrors not opening when unlocking the car and now it takes about 3/4 presses of the start button to turn the car on. Once the car starts it says check dipped headlights and check fog lights, once I’ve checked these the service light disappears. I’m worried that one morning it isn’t going to start! This issue only seems to happen when I’ve not drove the car for longer than 8 hours.
Please help!
Just ignore that it's a Peugeot. The procedure is the same.

I have had this problem for the last year now. Open the car, wingmirrors stay shut and then takes me nearly 5-10 minutes to start the car. Eventually starts and says warning about fog lights. Taken it into Vauxhall and of course it is all fine when with them. I have now got to the stage where my car physically will not start and is now stuck at the garage where the MOT was getting done. Currently on the road with no MOT. Having spoken to Vauxhall Eastbourne they originally offered me 1 hour free diagnostic as they have been so useless over the last few months. Having then rang them to book it in they said they would not be offering the free 1 hour diagnostic.
Please could someone let me know what they have done about this same problem as Vauxhall and pretty much all garages do not know what is going on. Any help would be appreciated?
My Grandland X 2018 has just had the same problem. Took me ages to start, mirrors didn’t open. Had issues when it did start with high beam and front spot light faults. Parking sensors failed, kept beeping at me and sat nav came up with the local Vauxhall dealership. Then the immobiliser kicked in and it wouldn’t do anything. RAC came out and said the immobiliser had locked on and just needed resetting - only Vauxhall have the code. Even though he tried to reset it, it wouldn’t work. So I took it to dealership in next town (don’t trust the local one). They diagnosed the fault immediately. Fitted a new battery management unit and £400 later the car works as it is supposed to. Only just got it back today so will update if necessary. So as per usual Vauxhall saying you need new keys, new immobiliser and new power system computer is a load of rubbish. The funny thing is when RAC checked the battery management unit ……. It worked fine ! They said all Vauxhall had to do was clear the error codes and put the reset codes in and it would work perfectly. So they may well have done that, but maybe didn’t earn enough from it so decided to also fit something I didn’t need… who knows ? They make these cars to break, especially the grand land x.
