Be out walking and returned home ,and after about half an hour I happened to look out of the window and was shocked to see my auto tailgate wide open . Has anyone had this experience and anyone know why?

Maybe you pressed the button on the remote while sitting or walking..

Oh. I wish I have a problem with the windows going down with the remote! For some reason they disabled that on the Grandland..
Mine is at the shop today as I have some rattling noise from the back end, and I got Astra for the day. Of course, the windows go down while holding the unlock button on the remote.
I asked the dealer to enable this on my Grandland, but until they unlock complete software, I don't think I will have that option :(

Admittedly, I'm glad you mentioned it. The same happened to me in winter overnight and I was alerted by a neighbour who kindly told me that my boot was filling up with snow!!

Could have been me pressing the button mistakenly, but....
