Works ok on the facebook groups allows full links. everyone seems to get it to work on there

I have just tried again downloading from TomTom website and it gives me the same message version is not compatible with hardware. No idea why its not working. The only file on the USB is the SWL.

I have just updated successfully with the update from Magenta. I reformatted my 32 gig stick (fat 32) downloaded the "17" update. Unzipped it with 7-zip onto the stick. One swl folder and one info file. Installed without any probs. Hope this helps.

I have tried again and still wont work for me same message. I have tried 3 different Toshiba USB sticks 2 16gb and 1 32gb . Same error message each time. No idea why it wont work for me if working for everyone else. I have tried just with SWL file and with updateinfo file aswell.

Before trying again I would make sure your mem sticks are OK and genuine. I've recently had a terrible job obtaining genuine micro sd cards and mem sticks. There are so many fakes around!.

I am going to try it with a Samsung 32gb stick now hopefully it will work with this.

Update. Still not working getting same error software is not compatible with hardware.

All those that are getting error messages or failures a few questions. If your answer is NO to any of these then that is your problem.

Is your memory stick formatted FAT32? A least 16gb(works best)
Did you use WINRAR to unzip?
Has your memory stick go a folder called SWL on it and one file called update.xml
