Let turn attention to the upload process.
Start engine.
Wait until sat nav is loaded
Insert stick into front usb
Should get update message
If not if you get an error message, remove stick and re-insert. May take 3-4 tries
What error messages are you getting?
Can you look at your system information and see what versions you have already
To see version press car button, go the system information
Select view
Please post result

I get media error no media content on the usb stick
Then second message- Update- Version not compatible with hardware.
If not if you get an error message, remove stick and re-insert. May take 3-4 tries I have tried this and same error.

New to this, so please excuse me if this has been asked before.
What unzipping program should I use on a mac?
I'm getting a map error on update.

I'm on Windows so I can't advise you really. I use 7-Zip (the free one) or WinRAR. Vauxhall tell you to use WinZip but that doesn't work. Check to see if there is a version for Mac. for any of those.

I have had no success in updating it as I get the same error. I have tried about 6 different Usb flash drives all at least 16gb and 3 unzipping programs I still get the same error.

It looks like you need to have your car checked. I had a real job updating mine but did it in the end. Good luck sorting it out.

Rather avoid the dealerships as they have no idea about the Grandlands. What usb flash drive did you use please?

I use a Sandisk 32 GB Ultra Flair USB 3.0 Flash Drive Memory Stick . My offer still stands .

Just a thought you do have the Navi 5.0 system, not the nav 4
