I'm struggling to find the paint code for my Topaz Blue GLX, any suggestions?
I've already bought a Opel Topaz Blue G8Z touch up pack from Ebay, but want to make 100% certain it's the correct colour.

Hi, I had issues trying to find the paint code for my car aswell. I had to call my local dealership to get the name and code.

Thanks for your reply, Grandlandx68. Glad I'm not the only one struggling...
The code on the Opel touch up paint pack matches that on the original factory order from Vauxhall system, so I'm now pretty confident I've the correct colour.

Bit of a thread resurrection here; the wife's Grandland X metallic ruby red (I think) took a hit to the front of the bonnet, more like a nut/bolt than a stone as it's left a scratch down to the metal and a small dimple. Rather than a full bonnet respray, I'm thinking of a quick touch up (my Land Rover is earning the title of moneypit ATM and the car account is empty)
I understand the three digit paint code is shown on the VIN plate, but I don't know what it will look like. In the above photo, I guess it's somewhere in the digits below the line. Are the first 6 digits referring to the vehicle model and the paint code is in the last 6 digits?
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Beanie
I had a look at my car and there is a door sticker on the drivers side which has the tyre pressure on it. There is then a smaller box to the right on the same sticker if you look at the third line this should be the paint code as it is on mine which is EVLC**. I found from this the EVL is the paint code for my car.
The best way is to call up your dealership parts department and they will be able to give you the code if your not 100% sure.
If your 100% sure its Ruby red then you can get a Genuine Vauxhall touch up pen on Ebay for under £15.00

I have just had a quick google search of the paint codes and its looks like they are the same so maybe a superseded code.

I'm no expert but it clearly says Topaz Blue on that picture lol. I hope that isn't the one you bought and if it is then try a little on some old cardboard before using on the car.
