Door trim contamination.

I noticed that the lower plastic trim/ skirts on the bottom of the doors on my Grandland are not sealed where they curve under the sills and therefore collect more road grit on the inner face than is collected on the mudflaps. Has anyone else noticed a similar problem or could my vehicle just have missing seals?

I have an Ultimate and it is the same. I find that it does keep the actual painted sills clean though so has its uses?

Mine are the same, A trap for small chippings etc. Muck collecting in there is going to be a problem later on in years, ie rusting doors
