HI C.Taylor453
The Vauxhall Grandland X doesn't have a warning light/Indicator for the Brake pads.
I have copied this extract from the Handbook page 207.
Brakes
In the event of minimum thickness of the brake lining, a squealing noise sounds during braking.
Continued driving is possible but have the brake lining replaced as soon as possible.
Hope this helps.

New brake pads have a brake lining of about 17mm thickness when they become too thin, they can damage the brake discs and you get grooves in your disc, it can also be if brake dust from the brake lining gives a squeaking noise. You can prevent this by this to clean with brake cleaner and blow clean with compressed air you could measure them with a caliper on the thickness of the liner
