What a shame. I was invited to download a map update, but my internet is not working (they say).
Of course, it is working, or I would not be invited to update!

Well I sat at my windows 10 desktop over the last few nights after the kids had gone to bed trying to download the update using Winrar then WINZIP then pea zip all to no avail. By chance I went onto the Vauxhall website and under my Vauxhall after logging in I saw there were details on how to update the Nav software and firm ware update. Like a shining light of the second coming, I placed a 32gb usb cruzer into the desktop and downloaded the 2 updates one firmware one map. I followed the four steps and suprise suprise it worked!!!!.
I downloaded the guide sat in the car for an hour and Yeeeeessssss it worked.
I guess the usb must format itself within the update . Why couldn’t Vauxhall do this from the off.

I’m so happy 😃

I retried the map update over several days and eventually the download was successful.
Vauxhall update required a 32GB USB stick to transfer a 17.34GB file.
My formatted 32GB SD card has 28.6GB ‘Free’ and Vauxhall update refused to use it.
I had to buy a 64GB SD card and that was acceptable.
I took the trouble to inform Vauxhall Customer Care of the website problem. They advised visiting my local Vauxhall Garage.
So a simple map update took me 12-days.

Thanks, but Vauxhall Customer Care were happy to dump the problem on anyone who could not run.
My feedback was of NO ACCOUNT!
I believe one should never nurse a grudge without giving an organisation an opportunity to rectify a problem.
In this case, they did not care.
I shall not bother them with my petty feedback in the future.

That's a shame Vauxhall customer services are not always great it really depends on who you get. I would think about maybe emailing the feedback to the Vauxhall CEO office as this normally helps to get issues resolved.
