Its the luck of the draw really. I never got round to buying a spare for the Mokka, mainly because if we were doing a trip of any distance we would take my car (it came to me with a spacsaver and one of my first jobs was to fit a full size spare) and she didn't have a puncture in 5 years.
The Grandland will be used to put the dogs in and pending end of lockdown, we will be doing more miles in it. We had a corsavan for muddy dog duties and that had a full sized spare, again unused.
In truth, I can't recall the last time I had a puncture, but that doesn't mean that I won't pick up a nail or screw tomorrow. Yes you get a tin of gunk, but I understand most tyre places won't repair a tyre inflated with it so you end up buying an axle set of tyres.

I prefer to have the Spare wheel as a back up rather than the hassle of the sealant and pump.
