After whatseemed an age waiting for my Grandland to be built I picked it up this morning. I've took the day off to set everything up and to drive it to start getting used to it. It's been a few years since I drove an auto but it soon came back. Very comfy, quite and very easy to drive. Only done 45 miles so early days. Everything seems to work, the A/C is ice cold.

Got a trip down south planned on Sunday so it'll be interesting to see what the mpg is with a long motorway run. It's showing an average of 22.9 mpg at the moment! The salesman said it will take 2 or 3 thousand miles before the engine starts to settle down and showing decent economy.
First time in many years today I actually went out for a drive for the sake of it.

No free mat's from the dealer?
I wasn't expecting any as I got the car £4,556 below list which was just under 16% discount, a deal I was happy with. I didn't take their GAP insurance nor the paint protection either so don't think they made enough profit out of me to offer me 'free' carpets. The mats arrived today and look very smart !
