Good evening all.
So with the OnStar or the WiFi hotspot the car must have a simm card somewhere?
Does anyone know where it is hidden, please?

Just a curious Yorkshire bloke with a nice new toy.

Thanks in advance.

Rory.

Hey Rory - good question although I dont know.

I know its a while off before they remove the Onstar service via Vodaphone but Ive been wondering if another company will pick up the service. Seems mad to lose out on the potential revenue, but...

If no one picks it up then I may look for another provider...not sure where to start....were you thinking of a work around?

It's more than likely an E-sim like on Apple watches and the like.

Afternoon, again.
In response - yes looking to try something different. Working on the principal that the data is available and being transmitted there must be a way to transmit it "yourself"....?
"e simm" not sure on that as how would it make its own WiFi hotspot? Not criticising just wondering out loud.

BTW forward facing camera fitted with little bother. The only problem I found was a broken wire in the cameras loom!

Look forward to finding if there is a SIMM, where it is, and what I can get out of the data connection (FMS bus anyone?)

Thanks in advance.

There is no sim card, it's just part of the chipset. (ELECTRONIC SIM)
