I've covered a little over 1,000 miles and on some journeys I've had as high as 48 mpg but, generally speaking, I'm getting around 40/42 mpg which is considerably better than my previous car where I averaged in the low 30s and quite good in my opinion. I live in a very hilly area so I'm up and down the gear box a lot.

I did my first motorway run this morning. 140 miles and the trip computer was showing 40.3mpg.

I use a fuel app on my iPhone to accurately track fuel use. I filled up this afternoon and it tells me I'm getting an average of 35.28 mpg.

I've left one tripometer calculating all my mileage which is coming out at 37.1mpg average, but 140 miles today and I've done 40mpg.

I'm at about 3k miles now, so interesting when and if the engine will start bedding in... or if this will remain.

Filled up the tank yesterday, zeroed the trip meter then drove onto a duel carriage way then the M1. This had a 50 mph speed limit due to road works. After about 10 miles of this speed my average consumption was showing 50.3 mpg !

Just proves it can be done but wouldn't like driving at 50 mph all the while !

Covered 1200 miles last week in my 1.2T while holidaying in Devon. Achieved 39.5mpg with a full load onboard travelling mainly on the M6/M5 which were once considered motorways but I feel are now just a series of connected roadworks.
Surprised that during the whole week we didn't spot another Grandland.

I managed 45.5mpg trip average on a 400 mile straight trip to Somerset, mostly motorway and A roads.

Spotted 3 Grandlands, all blue and we all did double takes to look at each others cars like we'd seen something rare and precious (which of course we had lol).

I'm at 4k mileage now, average 39.1 mpg overall which is increasing slightly... let's hope this continues...
