Yep, same with me here. They said that Grandland X is not supported for this option.

Re Onstar not being able to download destinations to us.
This is why we Grandland owners get free map updates for 5 years.

The reason the destination download was never an option, is because the Grandland infotainment system is really a PSA group system, not GM.

This is the same reason why we get free updates also as Peugeot offer this, it is not as compensation for not being able to do destination download.

If we had the GM System installed, like the Astra we would have the feature but they would charge over 100 pounds for satnav update, I know which one I prefer

Thanks for fuller and accurate explanation above.

I was not suggesting it was in any way compensation.

I similarly know which I prefer.

The Q3 maps update has been available at MyVauxhall for some days now. I downloaded this to my PC, and unzipped with WinZip, and the car would not read the file. I unzipped the self same download with WinRAR and it worked brilliantly first time. Took about 45 mins to install, but then it is 9.5GB unzipped. I note from the accompanying info file that it is provided by TomTom, and is labelled as version 11.0
I used a 32GB Scandisk USB stick, which is formatted as FAT32 by default.
Hopefully this might mean that the scheduling of future updates may be on track!

Hopefully the update will appear on myvauxhall at the same time as Peugeot from now on.

yes you need to use either WinRAR or 7zip to unzip the update to work
