Out of sheer curiosity I put my old Tom Tom on the screen yesterday to see how it compared in terms of calculated speed versus what the speedo shows... I expected the speedo to actually lag behind it having this historical gubbins that people say about speedos being manufactured about 3mph below actual.... but the Tom tom consistently showed the car speedo 2mph up....?
Bit weird... as I'm paranoid about speed limits, cameras and all the rest then which one would be true...? Hmmmm
Speedo versus Tom Tom...?
Very weird! The speed signs that flash the speed you're doing also agree with waze.

Thats the thing, Ive always relied on my TomTom as being the most accurate source in the past, so when Ive gone through those pesky average speed cameras ive always set the cruise control by the sat nav and not the car.
I think I'll go by the car now...
