Engine modification

I ordered my new Grandland x Tech Line Nav in june and was expecting delivery on 11th Nov. It has now been put back until Dec. 27th. I'm told this is because it has been updated to Business Edition Nav because of a slight modification to the engine. I'm told this by the saleseman. Is this correct? and what is the modification to the engine.
