Oh well after 30 odd years driving and not having a bump, the inevitable happened. School run and the other car was coming head on so I either went head on or tried to get into the side then I pranged another car and the other moron drove off. Definetly the other driver at fault, but the grandkids were so upset i never got the number as I expected it to stay put. I do the run everyday and I will find it.

Long story short. It needs two new nearside doors, mouldings and a wheel. The doors were creased not badly damaged and the moulding and wheel scratched. But the repairers have it just now and they told me they no longer repair doors it is a complete unit they replace it with. But the hold up will be the hinges as they are on back order and wont be in for another week from Germany.

i truly miss it as they have given me a wee Skoda Fabia. In all honesty you can actually appreciate your car when you step into something else.

So sorry to hear of your problems. These hit and run drivers are what make our insurance premiums so high. it makes you so angry that they cannot face up to what they've done. As long as you are all OK.

Cheers folk. Yes we were all ok. The annoying thing is it was booked in the next day to get a dash am wired in,sods law.

The repairers opened my eyes to things. In that nowadays companies are now replacing panels/doors and not using skins. Looks like my premium next year will be going skyward.

Glad you've got your car back. I think most body shops do a great job these days. My dealer has its own body shop and I've had work done by them on one of my Astra's and it was like new. Have you got that dashcam fitted? Enjoy your car.
