Just tried my 220V socket, but it doesn't appear to work. The handbook says it won't if the battery is not fully charged. My Stop/Start hardly ever works either, am I not using the car enough? I do a 24 mile round commute 3 days a week.

Hi, i have the same issue with my stop/start. It doesnt work at all at the minute. I dont do hundreds of miles each week but do use the vehicle. I had the car checked at a local dealership, and was told the battery did not have enough charge to make the stop/start work. Where in the handbook does it stipulate that you have to do 'x' amount of miles per week so that you can enjoy all the features on your car.
I have not tried the rear socket but would imagine that it may not work.
I have spoken to vauxhall about this issue of battery charge, but basically they werent interested...........

My stop start has rarely worked as either since getting the car. However, I do mainly local driving and have a hoist for a mobility scooter and a dash cam which goes into low mode when car is parked. So a combination of all these things must be why. Have to see how it behaves when we go on our holiday to Devon which will give it a 200 mile run down there.

My Grandland X Start/Stop only works when I braked hard, even if the battery if fully charged, after a long jouney 300 miles it only worked once.

I am putting it in for service on Monday soon I hope to have a spare wheel the puncher kit is no good.

Why cannot OnStart be free I had to use it for a puncher call out to the RAC.

Vauxhall are sending me a £50 voucher, my local dealer Beadles at Aylesford in Kent has ditched Vauxhall.

Never tried the 220v socket not enough power for my water boiler.

The CAR USES POWER ALL THE TIME

Well, it would seem we all have the same issue.......... please, contact Vauxhall direct and complain about this problem. If enough customers complain then maybe Vauxhall will do something about it.
Its not good that an eco facility does not work on a new model vehicle. I think Vauxhall know about this issue, but at present are trying to fob us customers off by saying we dont drive enough miles.
I to am doing two long distance trips to Cornwall.....over the next few weeks, lets see if this charges the battery enough for the stop/start to work.
Will report back after my first trip at the end of this month (May)

Just to give some balance to the stop start issue. This feature has always worked in my 3 month old, 3,000 mile Grandland with the mix of driving I do. Not sure how we can compare the mix of driving that each of us does, however perhaps the average speed is an appropriate measure. My average speed for the 3,000 miles is 34mph. Will try out the plug socket & report back.

New car 2nd day drove from Edinburgh to Manchester.Still no s/s working .Drove home still not working .Tried the 220v socket and not working .We have a car that’s supposed to help the environment and save us money but we will all end up going back and forward to the dealership to have repairs carried out as there must be a fault somewhere but Vauxhall will never admit to this as it’s not affecting the car driving .Best thing is everyone keep complaining. And keep reference numbers and post Vauxhall’s reply to the issues

Lock-N. i am sooo sooo pleased that i am not alone in suffering this problem with s/s. I have been on to Vauxhall several times over this matter and feel like im getting nowhere. My lastest email back from Vauxhall just wanted to push the problem back to the dealership, and did not want to accept that this is a wider issue than with just my vehicle.
I also asked for Grandland owners to keep contacting Vauxhall over this issue. Surely if we all keep voicing our dissatisfaction over this issue we should get so help. I also requested other owners to check the size of their batterys and post them on here, but unfortunately nobody has. I was trying to find out if maybe the newer vehicles have been fitted with a bigger battery.

Have just tested the plug socket & pleased to say that it works. There is a green led light next to the socket (beneath the flap).
