This is the one I bought. It automatically clamps the phone once you put it on the stand. It's a wireless charger (because the built in one in the Grandland is Crap). It connects with Micro USB cable. The only issue I have is my phone is USB C and in order to use Android Auto I need to use the only USB slot in the front, and I also have a dashcam which was using the 12V socket, so I've had to buy an adapter for the 12V that gives me more 12Vs and USB. But it sticks to the dashboard very well, even when my car madly shudders due to the issue I'm having (see this topic: https://www.grandlandforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=666 ).

Have you got a link or brand name please? Sounds ideal being wireless too, thanks! :D

Prefer to keep my phone in my pocket, out of distraction. All GXs have bluetooth so unless you need to charge it or use Carplay (in which case I pop it in the storage area below the heating controls), I'm not keen on a phone holder.

Cheers, bought from Amazon.

I haven't updated my GL maps so tbh for fiddly places I use Google maps on my phone.

I've stopped using the built in Nav and use Google all the time. The maps are more up to date (and no fiddly download/USB/Sitting for 30 to 90 minutes for the update) and best of all is the live and very accurate traffic info.
