Hi when I got my grandland, I was given a tyre inflation kit and sealent but in the boot under the floor was the centre bit for a spare wheel with alll the tools etc..

Am I right in thinking that the current tyre size 225/55R18 I could get a 17" space saver with a 215/65R17 tyre as long as the ratio stays the same?

Hi nallen132

I had a look on Ebay yesterday for another member and and could only find a 18" Spare wheel kit. I am not 100% sure but only thought you could get 18" spare wheel.

You can but you have to make sure the rolling radius stays the same as your original wheel. It’ll be easier in the long run just buying the 18” spare then you know you’ll be good for a future puncture. I had a similar problem with my old Vectra c, I had the vxr 345mm front brakes on and the original spare wheel wouldn’t even fit over the calliper side I ended up buying a spare vxr snowflake for my next puncture.

A bit of a thread resurrection here, looking at picking up the wife's 2019 Grandland next week which obviously only comes with the can of gunk.
Will this be the correct spare?

As Grandland68 says, 135/80 R18 104M is the correct tyre size.

Well, just picked the car up, and it's got the wheel and toolkit in the back which is a billy bonus. I recall that when we had a test drive I mentioned that they should come with one and the salesperson must have thought I knew what I was talking about. In actual fact, I was confusing it with a Hyundai Tucson which was initially on the list to look at, but was discounted as the dogs wouldn't have been too comfortable.
