The Grandland isn't as desirable to the scum car thieves as a Jag or Range Rover etc but better safe than sorry.

true u never know who is about looking at cars. id say having the device to steal car on you is less of an opportunistic thing

Did you try opening the Grandland with the key near it (in the bag)? Has it stopped the fob transmitting?

My key lives in its pouch/wallet whenever it's not need, my other key lives in my steel safe.

mines works can have car on & put key in pouch the screen says KEYS ABSENT FROM VEHICULE!
