Grandland phev battery fire

Vauxhall say this effectively is not there fault although they issued a recall for a defective battery 2 weeks after this happened. If you're going to buy a Vauxhall grandland hybrid make sure you buy a fire extinguisher also

What's the full story here? Was you charging or did it just happen?

Is there an update on this incident? It looks more like an engine fire. Surely, the traction battery is further back than that?

The traction battery is under the back seats. The pictures in the first post don't appear to be a traction battery fire. If it were a traction battery fire the whole car would be destroyed
