USB Power

Good evening all. I’m new to the grandland having had insignia/astra for as long as I can remember! I’m very happy with my Grandland X nav, 2019 plate but not massively impressed with the infotainment system which seems a bit of a downgrade on the insigniaB.

My question is this: having purchased a 3rd party wireless CarPlay adaptor, and plugging it in to the USB to the right of the 12v socket in the front console - this USB seems to continue outputting power after the engine is switched off and door opened etc. is the USB permanently live or does it power down after a short period of time?

Olá,
I advise you to read the owner's manual. I do this whether the car is new or used.
