Paid 13k for 67 plate grandland from lookers vauxhall Ellesmere Port.
Had a 1 year extended warranty
Initially told by the dealership (via email) that car needs a new engine.
Warranty refused to cover new engine, so now getting a new belt
They messed us around for many weeks, initially saying would replace engine, then the engine needed stripping down to provide proof of some sort for warranty company
So we're well out of our 30 days, which I belive on the window of time you can ask to give a car back without any questions (according to Google bard anyway)
Wife asked for a refund, but told can't after 14 days - which appears to be untrue anyway.
Not sure what to do
Is car fit for purpose in eyes of the law etc?
Is there a way to maintain and monitor the belt to stop it wrecking the engine?
Thanks
Had Grandland 2 weeks from Lookers Ellesmere Port, and oil light comes on...
Someone else having the exact same issue from dame place!

if its wet belt issue e-mail me at scotspie501@hotmail.com and i,ll send you some info to help you
Just FYI, thanks for the help everyone, Got a full refund.
Got a solicitor to write to head office, also made a freedom of information requestfor all info regarding me, my wife and the car since September 2023.
There were no photos taken of the engine, it was just a tactic to delay us and push us outside the 30 day return window. Refund window.
Important point that guy from CAB made, the car had to be in the owners possession for 30 days, for refund window to expire. As we only had it 2 weeks, although it was 3 mo the later, we were entitled to a refund.
