Key fault tailgate

Hi folks

Had a look and can’t find much about this hope someone could shed some light.

Had to get rac out for car as keys won’t open or unlock car RAC lad said I needed new keys so went to order new keys and the boy wouldn’t do them as the key starts the car if held at steering column. He said it’s an issue with software.

The only code showing is B1003.55 tailgate error

Would this affect the key operation tbh all this happened just after I had actually opened and closed tailgate then keys stopped working don’t know if it’s just coincidence.

The only garage near me is Peugeot but they said nothing they can do as software is different from Vauxhall even though it basically a 3008.

Any help or any info would be greatly appreciated really stuck for a solution at the moment

Have you tried new batteries is the remote (I suspect you have)?
You could try disconnecting the car battery for at least 30 minutes, that kinda does a reboot for the electronics.
